The agenda for this week is about Access Control List. We learned more about ACL and it's security purpose like protection, prevention, and response. It can allow or deny IP address and be configured to permit the ones that the users find not dangerous.

Learning log 4

In this week's agenda, I learned about Cryptography and the differences between the different algorithms. This is a very interesting topic for me because it's somehow related to hacking which I find very amusing. Decoding different type of security text is very fun to do. I'm  hoping that Sir Justine teach us more topic related to this.

INFOSEC Learning Log 3

MIDTERMS, one of the final boss we should defeat through-out our college life. This week we learn so many things from INFOSEC. We've receive a topic about privacy being legal in an educational way.
We should prove that piracy serves good purpose for students especially for their researches. I learned that millions of dollars and hundreds of thousands jobs being lost which is kind of sad for me.The attraction of piracy is the real deal for this topic. In this generation everyone is depending on the internet in almost everything.

Some arguments are kind of mind opening when it comes to piracy by educational purpose. Being able to copy others work for thesis or paper works is really helpful for us so, I can say that I'm with it and against it.

INFOSEC Learning Log 2

We were required to take Certification Exams on Cybrary. There are a lot of courses to take which I believe all are necessary, but we were only needed to take one. In terms of Security, I had two choices, Mobile Device Security Fundamentals and Fundamental System Security. These two are both important as foundation in any kind of Security but I ended up choosing the latter.

I was able to recognized the terms I encountered on the examinations because some were already discussed in the INFOSEC Subject. I consider this as a huge help to get our jobs easily in the future.

INFOSEC Learning Log

All the lessons are discussed properly and I learned from it. Specifically, I learned something about DDoS attack when I asked about it. When I was playing some online games other players are saying something about it and they were lagging but, I don't know what it means or how it works so I asked. I learned that it's from a public website which you download something from it which saves your IP then use it for their attacks.
